Have a question about this course? .
Course Description
A unique course for non-native English students that greatly improves the writing skills that are required to write effectively in business contexts that are both formal and semi-formal. Key components include the explanation and teaching of writing skills as well as the language needed for different contexts. The main emphasis of the course is the medium of email communication. Course material is based on real-life business situations and texts and includes a large variety of fun interactive exercises. Each lesson is offered at low and high level, enabling the student to choose their specific level for a certain task or type of writing, or study both levels for topics of particular interest. Students can study as much and as often as they like, repeating lessons if they wish, within their membership period. At the end of each lesson students can choose to see a model answer, or send their texts away for correction by an experienced teacher. Corrections are personalized and progress is highlighted during the course. Up to 10 texts, chosen by the student, can be sent for correction. Texts are returned within 3 working days. A writing bank offers a 'quick guide' to good writing covering most tasks encountered in the workplace. Students who reach the pass level for their course (completing more than 30 lessons and an improvement of one grade between entry and exit tests) can receive a completion certificate.
